Envious wine

Philippe Charpentier crafts enviable wines in the heart of southern France. His wines grace the tables of the world's most prestigious restaurants. His natural methods, which dispense with pesticides and chemicals, are a thorn in the side of Mathieu Rondaut, director of sustainability at Cropinova, a giant agricultural biotech multinational. Mathieu's alliance with Pierre, Philippe's cousin and rival who produces his own wines literally across the street, strains family relationships. When Philippe is found unconscious in his vineyard, surrounded by blood, the idyllic future of his winery is threatened. What happened? Wilted vines are discovered in the vineyard. Was Philippe aware of this? And what role does Véronique, his former lover who now works for Cropinova, play?
