JULY & AUGUST

August 2 and 3 - Vino & Pintxos

After several successful editions, we're doing another one in the middle of summer. We're going to try pintxos again! A few years ago, we traveled to the Basque Country and fell in love with pintxos. Pintxos are the tapas of the Basque Country, and the bars in San Sebastian and Bilbao are full of them.

August 17 - Italy as you've never seen it before

Over the past few months, I've been immersing myself in Italy and have come across all sorts of wines I'd never heard of. How about Vernaccia di Oristano? A wine from Sardinia aged under flor. We simply have to experience that! I've also been sampling some light, juicy red styles, including Rosé di Dolceacqua and wines from Pelaverga, Frapatto, and Schiava.

SEPTEMBER

September 21 - We love Portugal

Portugal is much more than just port. There are also other truly fantastic wines made from indigenous grape varieties whose names we don't always easily remember. Baga from Bairrada is thankfully easy to pronounce, but not always easy to drink. Filipa Pato knows how to handle it and makes a beautiful example. Luis Seabra, another hero, is doing well in the north of the country, and his wines will certainly be included in this tasting.

OCTOBER

October 5 - Burgundy vs. the Rest (Red)

Get ready for the blind tasting: which is Burgundy? This time, it's not Pinot Noir vs. Pinot Noir, but we're showcasing other Burgundy-inspired red wines. How about a Benedicte & Stéphane Tissot DD from the Jura, which uses Trousseau and Poulsard alongside Pinot Noir? Or a Pinot Noir like Garnacha from the Sierra de Gredos. Will we be taking Burgundy out of the equation? These will be challenging flights where you can thoroughly test your tasting skills. Want to join us? We'll make it a bit more challenging with three rounds of three wines.

October 19 - Armenia

Jelle just returned from Armenia. He traveled with the Vinologists' Association to get to know Armenia and its wine better. What an eye-opener! So much is happening, and the country's turbulent history also influences its winemaking. Reason enough for a tasting.

We've selected eight wines that deserve the spotlight. You'll learn all about lesser-known grape varieties like areni and voskehat , and we'll delve into Armenian culture. At the same time, we'll challenge the Walsjérôt chefs to create some delicious Armenian bites.

Want to read more about Armenia? Jelle wrote this blog post about it!

NOVEMBER

November 15 - Bubble Battle

Yes, we're doing another round of bubbles, because we love them so much. We've selected some fantastic bubbles, and it's up to you to pick out the champagne. Sounds simple, but can you do it against a fantastic English fizz or a top-notch sparkling wine? This is what a previous edition looked like .

DECEMBER

December 14 - All Out Exclusives

This December, we're going all out with wines that are on many bucket lists. Over the years, we've collected some special bottles, and on December 13th and 14th, we'll be opening them. An afternoon to remember. Click here for the lineup.
