There's a lot going on in La Rioja. It's Spain's most famous wine region, known for full-bodied red wines with a generous dose of oak aging, usually in American oak. In recent years, the tide seems to be turning, and more and more (young) winemakers are choosing to use less oak. Rioja is booming!
